Establishing a Commercial Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre

This is a private sector led initiative to address the need for speedy and fair resolution of disputes between commercial businesses and their customers and between commercial entities that operate in Jamaica. The objective of the project is to improve the climate for business relations and investment in Jamaica through the use of alternative means of dispute resolution and by the establishment of a Commercial Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) Centre in Jamaica.

THE PSOJ DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN FAMILY BUSINESS IN JAMAICA

The PSOJ has applied to the Multilateral Investment Fund (MIF) of the Inter American Development Bank (IADB) for a grant to finance a project to develop family businesses in Jamaica.  The Project's main objective is to contribute to increasing the competitiveness and sustainability of family-controlled micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) of Jamaica. The specific objective is to incorporate corporate governance and other sound managerial practices in selected MSMEs in Jamaica.

AdCouncil Jamaica Public Private Partnership

The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) proudly announces its latest project of public/ private partnership -The AdCouncil Jamaica.  After two years of preparatory work this not- for- profit entity held its first Board meeting on April 18th  2008 under the chairmanship of Mr. Christopher Issa.

PSOJ Tackles School Governance

The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) is collaborating with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and the National Council on Education (NCE) on a project to strengthen School Boards in Jamaica through training using Open and Distance Learning methodologies. The project is an initiative of the PSOJ's Education and Corporate Governance Committees and fulfils one of the Organisation's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outputs.
