PSOJ, JMEA and JCC Launch Private Sector MSME Resilience Grant Programme
Kingston, Jamaica – June 25, 2026: More than J$20 million has been secured to provide direct assistance to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), under the newly launched Private Sector MSME Resilience Grant Programme. The Grant Programme is a powerful demonstration of private sector collaboration between The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ), the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA), and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC).
Applications are now being accepted from members of all three associations as well as members of the MSME Alliance and the Small Business Association of Jamaica (SBAJ).
Under the programme, eligible businesses may apply for grants of up to J$500,000, which will be awarded depending on demonstrated need, proposed use of funds and potential economic impact. Applications will be assessed through a transparent evaluation process that considers factors such as business sustainability, employment preservation, economic significance, operational needs and growth potential.
The application window officially opens on June 25, 2026 and will close July 24, 2026. Grant disbursements will be managed by the Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS) and will commence following the evaluation process.
The programme was made possible through the generosity of corporate Jamaica, members of the business community and development partners. The aim is to help MSMEs improve business continuity, strengthen operational capacity, enhance energy security, invest in productivity improvements and build resilience against future economic and environmental challenges.
Businesses interested in applying are encouraged to review the eligibility requirements and submit all supporting documentation to their respective associations, including evidence of business need, anticipated impact and a clear plan outlining the intended use of grant funds.
