Kingston, January 13, 2026 – The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) today announced the appointment of Patrick Hylton, OJ, CD, as its new President. Mr. Hylton succeeds Metry Seaga, who completed a distinguished three-year term marked by strong advocacy, institutional strengthening, and decisive private-sector leadership.

Mr. Hylton brings to the presidency more than three decades of experience in banking and finance, having most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of NCB Financial Group. Under his leadership, the Group became the largest and most profitable financial institution in Jamaica and the most profitable stand-alone financial group in the English-speaking Caribbean. His career has been defined by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and disciplined execution, with a reputation for balanced, customer-centric leadership.

Beyond executive leadership, Mr. Hylton has played a pivotal role in Jamaica’s national development. He was appointed by the Government of Jamaica to a leading role in the restructuring of the financial sector in the mid-1990s, work that culminated in his being awarded the Order of Distinction (Commander Class) in 2002. In 2020, he was conferred the Order of Jamaica for his distinguished contribution to the financial sector and philanthropy.

Mr. Hylton has also served in several governance and advisory capacities, including as Chairman of National Commercial Bank Jamaica Limited, NCB Capital Markets Limited, Glenmuir High School, the Mona School of Business & Management, Guardian Holdings Limited (Trinidad & Tobago), and Clarien Bank Limited (Bermuda). A former President of the Jamaica Bankers Association, he currently chairs WIP Energy and sits on the board of MassyGroup which is a regional conglomerate. He is an honours graduate in Business Administration, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (London), a recipient of the Jamaica Institute of Management Manager of the Year Award (2016), and an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) conferred by The University of the West Indies, Mona, in 2019.

The PSOJ also announced its Vice-Presidential team for the new term. The three newly appointed Vice Presidents are Joanna Banks of Sagicor Group Jamaica, Mathew Lyn of Caribbean Broilers Group, and Mariame McIntosh Robinson, an individual member. They join continuing Vice Presidents Gail Moss-Solomon of GraceKennedy Limited and Hugh Grant of Jamaica Public Service.

As President, Mr. Hylton will work closely with the PSOJ Board, Secretariat, and members to strengthen private-sector advocacy, deepen public-private collaboration, and champion policies that support enterprise growth, investment, and inclusive economic progress.
